Look at the disk as a coin with a lady facing left.
The sea of tranquility is the bun of hair on her head with Serenity, Nectar and Fertility as the tresses flowing behind.
The Apennine mountain range makes the line of her forehead and nose and two smaller seas make the dark eye and mouth.
