I lived in malta for 6 months, plenty to go and see, dont forget the 'dolmen hotel'...one big overpriced hotel complex built AROUND a 'tarxien' phase temple.
You need to go to reception to ask permission to go view.

Mind the timeshare touts wont you!

I went to Malta about 5 years ago and thought it was fantastic. If your going best to book the Hypogeum online before you go. Should be quiet this time of year.
Very easy to get around the bus service is pretty good, you can go to most of the major temples by bus if you like.
Might be a little cold this time of year though. Maybe less than 20C.
