There are two bits of recorded rock art in the immediate area of Linsfort. Linsfort is about half way between these two, but I'd favour the second one.

Tullyvarin
C 352 341 (Donegal Inventory - 661)

A stone, 3.4m x .55m x .35m, not now in its original position, is said to have cupmarks on the underside but this could not be verified. It was formerly situated in a ditch to the N of a nearby cashel (916) on high ground sloping to the SW.

Ballyannan
C 321 380 (Donegal Inventory - 662)

A stone 2ft x 2ft 6in now buried is said to have had 12 large cupmarks one with a concentric circle and several very tiny depressions (M.R. Colhoun). A local informant believed it had the shape of a child's footprint also. It was situated on the roadside in cultivated land overlooking Lough Swilly to the W.

Thanks for the swift response FW; you made my week-end!
Does any of the two stones comes within the description of a Druidical altar stone with basins?
And could Inis Oen mean Inishowen?
Thanks again and have a nice wek-end.

There is also the standing stone at Glebe C315-370 which is mid way between Ballyannan and Tullyarvan , it has at least 15 cups on it's SW face including a dumbell .
