Solstice 2007

As far as I'm aware the Summer Solstice is always the 21st June. Only the Winter Solstice moves between the 21st & 22nd December.

Maybe some of those embarrassed "pagans" were scared of getting cought out again and have decided to hedge their bets by saying it's 22nd June in line with this winter? Heh heh heh...;-)

What's the name for the year when an extra day is added ? Is it an inter-calurary year - or is that something else ? That pushes the date of the solstice about.

Because the sun appears to stand still and to rise and set in very nearly the same place for five or six days a sensible person would suggest 'why get hung up on the exact time and place' ? It's just a process.

The days are getting longer now and the blackbirds, here, have noticed. In Washington state there is a minor heatwave and some of the Prunus trees are blooming.
