Just a quickie - UKTV History are repeating the Timewatch doc on Irish bog bodies at 5pm and 9pm today.

Having recently visited the Kingship and Sacrifice exhibit at the National Musuem in Dublin, I shall mostly be feeling queasy and peeking through my fingers, whilst watching it! ;-)

Anyone else have this reaction to seeing the remains of people who have been brutally murdered?

I actually enjoyed the exhibition… but then again I'm an axe murderer pretending to have an interest in ancient stones as a way to meet potential victims. ;-)

Saw the documentary BTW and enjoyed that too.

Ha ha! LOL!! I am fascinated in bog people - my step dad gave me a book about Tollund Man when I was 11-12 and I remember the morbid fascination of reading about this peaceful looking man in his little leather cap and how he was gavotted. I've been interested ever since. I've still got the book if someone wants to borrow it? Gutted I missed the prog.

I suppose it's up to your viewpoint Vicster. I went to the 'Bodies' exhibition recently and was fascinated in that too. However I wouldn't go chasing ambulances in the hope of seeing something. Oh, and you won't catch me within a country mile of a horror film!

Oh stop it; Vicky still hasn't forgiven me for telling you of her fears!!!

Maybe it was the combination of the vodka & tomato juice consumed the night before (without any food to accompany it) but my stomach was churning as I looked at them - when you see them on TV it seems different, up close you can see every little follicle and it kinda got to me.

Also, the hordes of fat American kids, standing round thinking it was cool to see a dead body was a bit upsetting too!
