Dodgy Dolmens

Considering Focus refused to assembe a flat pack chair for me, even for money because "its a health and safety issue, what if it collapsed?" it amazes me that the authorities sleep soundly in their beds with things like this about -

So which is the dodgiest structure out there?

Bloody 'ell, its not even fenced off. Bet you don't get many barber-surgeons going there ;-)

It's all a case of trusting gravity. The uprights at Proleek are concreted in and the capstone weighs about 30 tons. It'd take a very big push to break its inertial resistance and send it flying.

Possibly more unstable: http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/post/3781

Not as good as some of the Irish examples, but I'd like to nominate Trethevy Quoit:

Me and Mrs G went there last week - I was amazed (as I believe was Mrs G) how thin the "front" upright is compared to the humongousness of the capstone!

Don't give the health and safety juntas any ideas...hazard+target+ severity = eff off great fence and five mile exclusion zone. Bingo - job done!
