Mind you, it's also a half an hour trek up a mountain so you'd need at least half a day and I don't know if you can afford that. Let me know and we can make arrangements off-forum. I'm dying to meet someone with some enthusiasm for this.

Hi there

Thanks for the offer, we may take you up on it but my big worry is that we are both the wrong side of 35 and not very healthy! I have a seriously dodgy right knee and tend to huff and puff a lot when climbing uphill! So does my good pal Vicky (yep, just to confuse matters, we are both called Victoria!) When you say mountain, do you ACTUALLY mean mountain or biggish hill??? It does look spectacular though.

We are in Meath from 11th - 14th August. Let me have your email or phone and I'll contact you about this off forum.

Hi Vicster,

I know what you mean about being the wrong side of 35. (actually, I'm the wrong side of forty :-( ) The passage tomb is at 621 metres and the road below it at about 320 – so a 300 metre climb. Intervening terrain may not suit a dodgy knee though. E-mail me at [email protected]
