>Is it just me or is that really out of order?
Well the land is owned by the MOD and at least it is being recorded.
Have you seen the state of Robin Hoods Ball? (bring on the jokes...)
Tank tracks all over it!
A lot of the barrows on Salisbury plain have been damaged by War Games (and still are) but wotcha gonna do eh?

Every time I took passengers flying I ended up out of pocket, even when people paid to cover some of the fuel costs.
Now I figure I'd rather fly with empty seats so I can stay in the air a lot longer, fly further and get more done.

>but wotcha gonna do eh?

Same problem up here with Otterburn, similarly near Catterick I hear. The national park people have made some nice agreements with the current MoD folk at Otterburn, as even the WWI trenches are counted as archaeology, but in many cases, the damage has already been done.

If googlearth had updated Northumberland yet, I'd show you what I mean, but they haven't, the fiends. If it were at the same res as those new Wilts images, I'll be lost in it for months. Spent a good half hour staring at the field boundaries of Fyfield.

One day, the 3D features in memorymap will hopefully get a googlearth overlay. So's us poor earthbound types can at least do virtual flying ;)
