Yea, I have the same problem and I reckon (contrary to Mr BaconBonse's advice) two poles might be the answer, but I have yet to try it. I don't mind looking like a prat if it helps my poor old knees.

honestly Steve, once you've tried it you won't go back

Cheers
Andy

You won't look like a prat, think of it as looking like the Long Man of Wilmington!

"Mr BaconBonse"....do you mean me?

Didn't mean to offend anyone but...

When your out for a nice afternoons walk and you have to step aside to let 30 germans, all with two poles each storm past you with out a thank you..you get a bit negative...

i am sure they dont all have bad knees!

I am sure there are some of you out there who do find life easier with two sticks...I use one now and again because i have a dodgy ankle...but I have also done plenty of walking all over the UK..and in the Himalaya...with out the need to go into my nearest outdoor store and spend great amounts of money on the latest accessories, or something-texed clothing. There is no law yet that says we have to have the latest technological fashions before we go for a walk......but don't tell Prestcott.
