Comic Strip

For my birthday, I was given the excellent "Comic Strip Presents" DVD box set, which is absolutely hilarious.

The opening titles of the first series feature a bomb (with "Have a nice day" written on it) dropping on a map of Shaftesbury (yes, I know - I should have better things to do!)

The second series (onwards, I believe) shows a pictorial representation of an idyllic English countryside; a game of cricket, winding lanes... and a stone circle!

Does anyone know if this is based on a real area? The only thing I could find around Shaftesbury itself are earthworks, so I don't think it's there, if anywhere...

There's today's task for you - go find! ;o)

BTW - I didn't mean "does anybody recognise this from the picture" I meant "does anyone know, being one of them trivia things that people might know, if it was based on anywhere real?"

:o)

Top DVDs, must say!
The place that springs to mind is Knowlton Henge, which is not a stone circle any more, but there is a ruined church on the site where it used to be, and has some of the original stones in its structure. Its not for from S'bury, as the crow flies. Nice place.
