Fool needs help

Can someone help me? I'm trying to upload some images to this website and I'm getting the message: Only JPEGs may be uploaded.
The image could not be processed. Please try re-saving it, with different options (e.g. without Photoshop Colour Profiles).

I'm downloading the images from my camera to the PC and in the folder it's says it's a JPEG but when I go to download it is described as a paint shop photo album 5 picture. How do I re-save the image from the folder as a JPEG like the message says? Sorry to ask but I really want to show the pictures I've taken and it's frustrating!! Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

That sounds strange if the folder contains jpegs, maybe when you open them with Paint Shop its saving them as Paint Shop files? There should be a drop down list when you go to 'save as..' with different formats like Tiff, jpeg etc. It might default to its own file format. If thats not it, Im not sure what the problem is, could be the jpegs are in AdobeRGB colour space but then I think one or two of mine slipped through in this colour space. If you want to email me one of the pics at cianmcliamATvodafone.ie I'll see if I can find out the problem for you.

Do you have picture editing software such as Paint Shop or Photo Shop?

If so there is an option to 'Save for web' or 'Save Optimized'. Use this to save the image in JPEG (or JPG) format. Make sure the image is no larger than 700 pixels wide.
