Isn't it Time

I tend to agree. The idea of a "straight" and an "esoteric" forum does appeal, but would people keep to their own? It would not solve anything though as the name calling, point scoring, nit pickers would still be pursuing their petty points. When emailing to chat rooms or fora, people are often much ruder than they would be in a face to face situation. Often those most offensive on the web are the most inoffensive and timid off it. The term "virtual cowardice" might apply.

Each of us can make TMA's forum better by minding our manners and only reading those threads that interest us. We can tolerate and ignore other stuff as long as it is not too OT. Personally, I never comment on threads which I know nothing about eg rock art. Elsewhere, if I venture an opinion at all, I do not expect anyone to agree with it, but to be called "a big tit" and worse seems excessive. I'll not respond to such.

Surely it's virtual bravado ?

It's an odd thing that I once suffered from. Now I'm a cunt in person too, so it's no longer virtual :-)
