When I got in touch with the authorities about some runes I found that the two experts in the field had written a book asserting that most inscriptions, even the better known ones, are fakes. From what some of the rockart specialists here have said about some specimens I wonder how long before the establishment similarly does a purge on cup-markings and their ilk ?
