That's the way forward man Mr W.

Never mind getting a new DSLR, get a USB powered scanner, lug it and a laptop out to the RA, turn it upside down, bob's yer uncle...

Direct scanography of rock art is the way forward I tell you! Just because it probably won't work is a poor reason not to be unreasonably attached to the idea ;)

Howdo Hob,

I was waiting for the scanner idea, i am sure you mentioned that one at RAM05,lol...

It is amazing the choice...most seem to think the D70....

still unsure if fixed lens or not fixed lens, that is the question..

As you know Hob, rock art is where i am at...but i also do alot of nature and country shots...

bloody hell....i feel that old scanners feeling again!!!
