Does anyone have the book in the subject line? http://www.appletree.ie/books/genbackl/ststones.htm.

On the 'Standing Stones and Stone Circles' chapter there is a photo of a circle with tall slender stones but its not listed in the photograph index and is not labled. It looks like a very nice circle but I've no idea where it is though I suspect its in Cork, since I'm going there Friday and possibly Sturday I'd love to check it out. Any info appreciated!

Can you send me a scan or photo of it?

Do you mean the one on page 43? Looks as though there's a boulder-cist? That could narrow down the search a bit, plus its proximity to that house.
There's a general mention of that style in the text on pages 48-9 being in Co Kerry.

None of the photos used as the title page to a new chapter are mentioned in the index. Infuriating, isn't it! ( I know p.69 is the Castlestrange stone and from that, the photos in the book are fairly old. It's sat on a metal grille now.)

I just emailed the pic to 4W's and was going to mail again to see if he knew where 'Bocan' was on P56/57 'cos it has very interestingly shaped stones, after searching here I found: http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/post/28619 almost an exact replica of the photo in the book except the house is more in view! Have to pencil in another trip to Donegal now...
