Ah but if you're in London perhaps a quick trip to the British Museum to see the lovely gold cups etc (mmm) wouldn't go amiss.

Yes and they are very good about allowing photographs there .. The London Museum is simply brilliant, but a big NO to photos.

I was at the BM last week, the prehistory section is slightly (only slighty mind) better than my last visit. It's odd because they have the prehistory stuff, then the Roman stuff followed by the Bronze Age.
The Folkton drums were looking rather splendid sharing a case with three Scottish carved balls.
I also saw some beautiful paleolithic flint tools that had been found at Thebes 100,000 BC!
