You're right but I reckon that some sites are an awful lot more vunerable than others. If a small obscure site is composed of a debris scree laying at a 70 degree angle on a Cumbria fell, then it would only take a few people mining the scree for roughouts to dislodge the scree. Five thousand years of accumulated stratified debris lost forever.

Looks like I spoke too soon on my earlier post. As I say, I've never been.
