You're not hurting my feelings matey, you did ask for opinions. It's good to debate these things in a robust and open manner, I'm not in favour of silencing anyone who has something valid to say.
Many of us have posted one or two dodgy sites in the past, admittedly stonelifter may post more than his quota of what we may deem to be questionable sites, but he is usually open to debating his sites and they often disappear following such discussions. I'm not sure if he removes them voluntarily or the Eds step in, maybe a combination of the two.

It's both, actually.

I've found a site this year that is well off the scale of probability. No photographs, of course, and nobody willing to trek out into hostile country, in the rainy season, to retrieve some.

Hi Fitz -
Yeah...get what your saying. I'm not into getting rid of people. We all make mistakes - but it'd better if he could at least give other references when questioned, besides "I say so" or "gerrup and have a look for y'selves." (Having a look at the other sites he's posted there's no reference to anything apart from his own words). I know it's not always possible to verify it - especially when it comes to a truly new discovery. But I think in this site particularly (and the Toggly Woggly non-cup&ring stone) we have an example of a site that isn't a 'possible,' but more of an 'incredibly improbable.' There's unanimity on it across this site apart from with Mr ShirtLifter himself. I just the TMA eds (who I assume are reading this thread) let commonsense prevail.
