apologies if repeated - I skipped a few threads

There is a program called memory map which is by far the best Ordnance survey software I have seen.

http://www.memory-map.co.uk/software.htm

I have seen it working with garmin gps systems allowing plotting waypoints and track in 3d modelling using the contour maps as its matrix. It has excellent pan and source variables. It also does a neat trick with satellite photogarphy laying images over the 3d rendered map.

I am thinking of buying the ridgeway for £49

(many different maps here scroll down to near the bottom for ridgeway map)

I take commision if anyone at memory map is reading

broen

they also have a pocket pc version - I'm in love

Also in conjunction with the original thread

Gps are excellent at marking sites that you see along the way without ruining your maps.
As personal reference tools and digital logging for cross reference.

They are also handy for checking speedometers and you might be able to use as evidence that you were doing the speed limit when that bas***d speed camera went off.
