Mike , I saw your post about the burnt mounds on Britarch ? , the Time Team finds are right in keeping with your thoughts then . Whilst metal working would be ritualistic in itself the mention of the fire and water ritual was too conjectural when what little evidence there is points to something more utilitarian .

Rich I knew I should have taped it , just to make sure what the pattern was and ensure it was as regular as they suggested . Is there any metal work with similar motifs ? I cant't remember seeing anything .
