Obby Oss was great! got there just after 8 and saw the childrens oss before breakfast. Then met up with some old friends and watched both the Blue Oss and the Red oss erupt into the melee. I actually got to touch the red oss this year and got some great video of it as it stopped right beside me for the quiet bit where the children offer things to it.

The sun shone, we had pasty, ice cream and cider and a good time was ad by all.

Mr H

Stanton Drew was lovely! Very quiet, actually... I've been there twice now - the first time we were the only 2 people there, and this time there were the pagan lot and another group, but it was so peaceful... Bliss! Stoney Littleton was great too... Just sat on top of it for a while chatting and relaxing in the sun...

"...oh bloody hell, it works!" made me laugh! Are you from Dorset then, Wiggy?

The Obby Oss sounds fab, Mr H! I must get there one year to see it...

That pub where the Obby Oss starts off from (can't remember the name off hand) - I heard tell there was a holy well behind it - Lady's Well, or Ladywell, or something. Thre's a block of flats of the same name beside the pub, but no sign of the well - do you know if it still exists? Or were the flats built on top of it? The only instructions were that "the well is behind the pub"... Whether it's direclty behind or several miles behind - I have no idea!

And while I'm squeezing more well-related stuff onto the forum - anyone ever found St John's Well (if memory serves) on the coast path just along from Padstow? The signpost, on one side, pointed up the hill. The other side of the signpost pointed DOWN the hill! Fun, innit? Is it? No.
