I have had limited success with Lethbridge's long pendulum. Oddly it stopped working when I was convinced it was working !

I've dowsed with a hazel twig successfully too.

I've also dowsed with a magnatometer and with other electronic wizaedry measuring resistance. It's all the same, but one's much cheaper :-)
