btw the cut-off point at this site is perhaps not as strict as you suggest - Wansdyke is here, and I think is likely to remain here

And that's the problem. It takes money, and most of all time.

We have a great benefactor here in Julian, Holy McG etc. Probably more than most realise. And I know how hard Andy works over on the Portal.

It's not just design, it's keeping the stuff tidy, safe from attack, focussed, and updated with new content. TMA didn't appear overnight.

Another period website needs someone with a high level of commitment (and deep pockets for the hosting/bandwidth fees).

I'll help.

It would be great to have a site as good as TMA for Romans, Anglo Saxon sites.

We use something like http://www.phpnuke.org/ to start of with.
