Yep, that's my take. If anyoe is interested, we could discuss it at greater length. I'm still working on it, my theory isn't polished, this forum will probably boo it down, and it may not be germane to this thread.

Please advise a newcomer on protocol.

Perhaps, but of course some (most?) of these structures could simply be animal pens and could have absolutely nothing to do with shamans, or mystical or astrological alignments. In fact, the more I think about, it the more persuaded I am that many, if not most, of 'the cursuses, henges, rings, standing stones and barrows' were simple utilitarian structures.

Of course, that does not deter from the 'magical' effect they now have upon us ;-)
