No one can put themselves "in their shoes"! It's impossible, just like only I can put myself "in my shoes". You can have a good go and get quite close, but you'll never manage it.

Some people just manage to "try" better than others, and in some cases to delude themselves that have actually succeeded.

This is not a comment on anyone on this forum in particular or generally, but a direct response to the one sentence above.

Yes and in return, the original sentence was me trying to sum up that idea in one line, not sure of the success but you get the idea.
I find it difficult to imagine what something was like years ago, after all it's right there, in front of me? Here, in this moment... was there ever another time?

Perhaps I have no imagination.
I blame TV.

Fourwinds... I appreciate your healthy skepticism. Problem is sorting through meaning and delusion. This is why Tombo has proposed this test to see how many people have the same impressions of a particular site. Mind you this can be sensed in site, taste, sound, feelings! Don't get too narrow on how you receive the information... if none of it gels I will be very surprised.
