More local Prehistoric sites than you could shake a witty stick at make ' The Dug ' an almost perfect stopping off point for any megarak jaunt. Upgrading of the pub continues at a relaxed pace so we're told.
Kenny the landlords' stringent quality control system ensures that the liquid refreshments on offer including a fine selection of at least 6 real ales are always served in tip top condition.
Clientele includes a blacksmith, physicist, smattering of student types along with joke telling man of the cloth. All this makes it an ideal venue to get married, listen to some rib splitting views on life, order a smashing set of Iron gates, then have the theory of relativity explained to you while you quaff. MARVELOUS !
Pitcur souterrain and the cleaven dyke cursus are two of the more likely local sites for a visit along with the rare opportunity to drive through the middle of a stone circle at Leys of Marlee. All three are within 15 minuets.
No food service but you can bring your own puddings.
