Bwlch Goleuni (Long Barrow) by GLADMAN Might upland monuments such as that at Bwlch Goleuni have been deliberately sited to act as focal points for experiencing the Turner-esque drama inherent in the British hills, natural theatres stage managed by priests for the desired effect? Here we look across Dyffryn Mymbyr to the high Carneddau, the latter crowned by ancient cairns. The viewpoint is Moel Siabod, similarly endowed, Bwlch Goleuni indicated in shadow to the left.
