I'd agree with you there re Apollo/Diana.
Druid comes from "Duir", the Welsh for Oak.

I'd also agree that Druids can be noisy buggers at the best of times. Just count yourslef lucky I wasn't there with my bodhran :-)

As for "the new order of druids"....we are legion. Worse than in Life of Brian at times ("The Secular Order of Druids? SPLITTERS!")
