And if you're calm and still you can address them by making suckley noises. Pipistrelles are certainly friendly and remember a person from year to year - as vividly as a dog does. Sadly I work in an area where the keepers shoot them for fun (but this is digression).

I would characterise many or most of the posters to this forum as 'Electric Druids'. Yes, we know that the white-garbed ones were invented in the Victorian era but ...

Thanks to Steve Hillage for the crib - I went to a party with Hawkwind once - too many years ago to contemplate. Their weird electronic sounds seemed like druidry then - particularly after smoking DMT. If you said that now, people would think you were 'bats'.
