I would like to recommend 'Footmarks - A Journey into our Restless Past' by Jim Leary. Many of us know of Jim Leary from his work on Silbury Hill back in 2007 and later on Marden Henge.

Here he journeys from ancient hominin footprints to holloways and everything in between. In his chapter titled 'Weatherscape: Of skies and seasons' he talks about the Nebra sky disc not just describing this beautiful object but giving an indepth account of how it was found, how it was sold (many times) and how it eventually found its way back to the State Museum of Prehistory in Germany.

As someone who walks, I love this book.
