Thoughts on Neolithic carved stone balls.

Not sure if people are interested but I thought I'd post it anyway. In the latest edition of Current Archaeology, issue 402, September. On the letters page is an article about Neolithic carved stone balls and the use of cup and ring marks. My mate Rob wrote the article. There should have been more. Thoughts were that the balls were placed in the cups, to try and work out phases of the moon, seasons etc. Some of the layouts echo layouts of several stone circles, with a similarity to orions belt.
