Ah yes, saw that first time round. I spent Solstice Eve watching a production of Under Milk Wood at the lovely little Wharf Theatre in Devizes - staged by second year students of Bristol Old Vic. A voice said in my head "you should be at Avebury, you're not being authentic" then another voice said "enjoy the moment" ... and I did. Apparently the Masons were having a shindig in Devizes that night too. Didn't even know they existed in Devizes until then - Wiltshire Police HQ is in the town.
Avebury was still there in the sunshine the next morning - everyone looking relaxed in the sunshine.

Happy Midsummer for tomorrow - 24th June, St. John the Baptist's Day, who came first. Count down to Winter Solstice/Christmas starts now.
