That's the one, GAT 814,thanks you very much. Seems to be of uncertain origin and may only have been erected as a cattle rubbing post! What a great site the Gwynedd Archaeological Trust (GAT) site turns out to be so thanks again for pointing me in the right direction although I must admit for some reason its left me feeling a little disappointed I guess I had always hoped the site at Amlwch had a little more significance
