Bison /Buffalo I think they are much the same .
The first time I saw them I didn't realise the estate had them ,I had simply jumped the fence as usual . They have elk too ,which are pretty impressive especially when you just are used to red deer , and not expwecting them .The gamekeepers are permanently armed ,for safety sake as much as stalking .
I would imagine unexpectedly encountering Buffalo raises the heart rate a bit!
They were quite docile , but there is no place to hide ,it was only later gettin back over the fence that i came across warning signs on the fence .
