If previous restorations are anything to go by, I'd assume that the Avenue banks and ditches will not be restored. The rebuilding and digging of a bank and ditch won't replace the original. I may be wrong. At least stones can be replaced in their original place.
It'd be interesting to know what archaeological digs have taken place during the digging up and covering of the road, and if anything can or has been found from the original destruction.
