Some of us used to smoke, drive without a seatbelt and sprinkle monosodium glutamate on our food. We then came to understand that doing so was bad for our health, or could possibly kill us.

Things change Mr b, perhaps there was a time when unfettered access to Silbury, Stonehenge and Saiho-ji was possible – it no longer is. No doubt the same will happen at the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Eiffel Tower (the view from those is said to be very good as well :-) as it has at Altamira and Lascaux.

It’s called sustainability – without it we’re in danger of destroying the very things we care for.


I'm only really saying that the archaeologists nearly have destroyed it, and just because of over population i pretty much agree with you on the rest you wrote.
