Now esp., the business of attracting tourists and providing accommodation and entertainment; the organization and operation of (foreign) holidays, esp. commercially. If ‘travelling for pleasure’ also includes travelling for knowledge, and a better understanding of the places toured - not to mention a respect for those places (as it does for most of us here) then, along with Dr Valentin’s definition, we might call ourselves tourists in the most responsible sense of the word. NB.
