"Is the ' of course ' in response to the question about intenionality ?"

Well, it certainly might be worth checking out, on the ground. In spring, rather than autumn, before there are leaves on the trees, to obscure the view.

The Ordnance Survey marks the cairn vaguely on the top of Kip Law but it is a distinct structure. I've never been up there but it is visible for quite a distance - it's shaped like a pork pie and is not at the highest point of the hill, but to the north and west, on a false crest. And there are actually two cairns marked on Kip Law, close to each other, but the northern one is a actually a currick. But then the pork pie-shaped cairns are often marked as curricks on the map, with the best examples being on Tindale Fell.
