I honestly dont know where the price differences are

I would imagine petrol / diesal & accommodation is cheaper in ireland, however alcohol and maybe eating out is more expensive. Of course you can buy off-license which is very cheap at the moment and Im sure making your own food / going to the right places would help in the cost of eating.

If I can be of any help in areas that are thought to be expensive I may know of a local way around them so that you dont get fleeced!
