Hi Sanctuary

Thank-you for the feedback - presenting actual evidence is I think always the best way to go.

In this respect whilst I fully appreciate that the book by Jim Leary and David Field is not the place to present detailed evidence I am still very surprised that there are not a few more pictures to illustrate the nature of the prehistoric 'activities' that were discovered in 2007-08 and that the authors did not 'signpost' or let people know where the evidence to support their statements can or will be found.

(if i have missed this in my reading then apologies to the authors)

There does seem though to have been enough space in the book to show 2 pictures of Ellie Leary (I know its a bit sad and petty for me to point this out but it's still true and, I think, demonstrates what one of the authors, Mr Leary presumably, feels is significant for the reader).

best wishes

Thank you for that Fachtna, very interesting, especially the Atkinson photograph showing the make-up (in part) of the original mound. And I also understand fully now because of that photograph what you mean by 'events' which must have been considerable throughout the building of the entire hill. If there is more to come then that would be 'awesome', as my American friends would say!! Thanks again.
