I, too, am a luddite when it comes to maps. I love a good map, me! And I have the added bonus of being married to the finest map-reader known to humankind! ;)

I've never used GPS - not even SatNav. Just simply never needed it. It's nice to look out for clues in the landscape when the map just doesn't quite have enough detail. Especially when well-hunting. Sometimes the treelines, streams and even shapes of the hills are sufficient clues. It's all part of the fun. :)

I have, however, got GPS built into my phone, so have downloaded the files out of curiosity. God lnows how it even works. Probably means I'll have to read the effing manual now! I'm a bloke - it's not in my genetic make up to read manuals! :D
