Thanks .I wouldn't really describe it as an alignment as the hill isn't prominent and even if it was the capstone or orientation of the chamber doesn't indicate towards it .If it did both then i would say that's a possible alignment .Originally when i noticed the shape of the hill behind I thought it might be be more prominent .The view to the "Garns "does provide the summer solstice sun rise ,just to the west of the Garn Fechan and the major lunar standstill at Y garn by Pontiago (dunno if that is actually sighted from Carreg Samson though ) but once again they are not indicated (although comments about capstone above ) and whilst in sight are not really that prominent "markers ".
