Strange how difficult it is to determine a route of only 20 odd miles (If in fact they traveled that far). There are so many variables to concider.

We are told that it was warmer at the time, But I have also read that it was wetter. More rain equals faster swollen rivers. I have also read that the sea level was lower by several mtr, which would effect the tidal part of rivers. I have also read that it was drier at the time ???.

I wouldn't put a lot of hope on anybody getting a 140+ journey right.
