Glad you had a great time. Sadly set the alarm wrong so overslept and couldn't reach Avebury in time for sun up.
Still, me and the missus did manage to make it to Cleeve Common and had a beautiful walk out to Belas Knap. Didn't see a soul, it was so quiet it was like another world. Mist over the hill soon cleared and the sun rose up bright and beautiful. Was a magical time, and a different experience to sharing it with other peeps, made it all the more special really. Maybe i'll get it together for next year.
Can't say i fancied the 35000 (if that's right) that turned up at Stonehenge.
Much more personable in Winter anyhows, with a 1000 or so other peeps, Stonehenge winter solstice is a nice start to Xmas.
