Moss,

There are plenty of pubs in Keswick, an easy walk, all downhill, from the Castlerigg Hall and Castlerigg Farm campsites, next door to each other, and always a taxi available to take you back if you're worse for wear. There is also a public bar called the Crag Bar, which is next to the two campsites, and part of the Heights Hotel.

By the way, the Scafell Hotel is 6 miles south of Keswick, down the lovely Borrowdale valley at Rosthwaite.
