Can't find the reference off hand, but I think it was suggested as a possibility by an archaeologist, the Hereford County Archeo possibly, to account for the factr it was so delicate it wouldn't have been suitable for walking on (and it was domed, anyway) hence I put it in as one possibility.
It isn't that "people here" or "I" have any particular beliefs, the speculation was about what the original people might have used it for. That's not "bunkum" is it? What were the Stonehenge and Avebury Avenues seen as by their builders?
