Word is that a new series is in production at the moment, the most comprehensive documentary yet of Irish historical sites such as Loughcrew, Carrowkeel etc.
Frank Prendergast mentioned it yesterday at Loughcrew, filming is in progress and it should be on screens in Spring 09. He had mentioned some filming he was involved with from a helicopter at Carrowkeel during a talk at Bru na Boinne so I presume it's going to have some people in the know this time, not someone who thinks the Rock of Cashel is off the beaten track.
