| Now that the Beltaine celebrations are over (10 days of impersonating Eddy Izzard) Avebury has returned to normal. Astral Tourists wandering around with dowsing rods and the sound of the Army battering the fuck out of Salisbury plain! Sounds like continuous thunder from here! They caught the plain alight last week. The fire service cannot go onto the plain to put the fire out because of the live ammo scattered around the place! I found a map reference to an 'Inscribed Stone' on the plain near Kill Barrow, smack in the middle of the Army training ground. There is NO reference to it in any book on archaeology or in the local library. Think I might go looking for it dressed in my Taliban disguise.
