At the Grouse end of Monks road there is a a strange chair shaped stone called Abbots char and also the remains of an old cross marked on my map. Plus where the trig point used to be on top of the Nab Coombs near the old quarys is marked tumulus just below this is a bit of a cave "scouts Cave" I also used to sleep in that!!! In one of the quarys is a kind of natural alter with an upside down crucifix. There were storys of Satanists using it when i was a child. So to camp there was a scary/brave thing to do.
