That is really thorough and helpful information CW, thank you. I will make a note of the OFCOM link and re-read the guidelines for making an effective complaint.
Sadly, it looks as though I am going to have watch the extremely irritating pair (which is sort of against my religion) but it will be worth the sacrifice to make my complaint authentically distressed and affronted.
